Solange Knowles was pictured on the red carpet with her beautiful six-year-old son Daniel ‘Julez’ Smith last night. The singer and DJ was seen in NYC to attend  the announcement of Anna Dello Russo as International Concept at Macy’s guest editor-at-large.

While we’ve been admiring how cute this mother and son combo is, we did have to admit that it was a little strange to see them rocking identical hairstyles. We’re just not sure if that is cool. Solange lost her locks because she was spending to much time, energy and cash on the upkeep of her longer locks and we admire her for attempt a short cut. But we feel it’s time to do something, it’s like there’s little to no thought behind it. Lil Julez gets away with it. He’s six.

Rihanna Spotted Rocking Natural Hair AND Make-Up!

Since finishing the US leg of her ‘Loud’ tour Rihanna has needed a break, and the singer has been spotted relaxing in her home country of Barbados but it also appears that RiRi’s hair and face needed a break from make-up and product too!

Rihanna is just 23-years-old but the heavy make-up and over-processing of her hair can make her look much older and cause her hair to break. Judging from her appearance at Giogio Baldi in Malibu last night, the star’s listened to her skin and hair needs and decided to go as natural as possible.

I admire her decision because it is a brave one when you’re followed by as many unforgiving paparazzi cameras as she is!

Rihanna Spends $22,500 A Week On Her Hair!

Rihanna loves getting her hair done, she loves it so much that she spends a reported $22,500 a week to make sure she’s got the right look.

The ‘S&M’ singer, has sported many different looks since her very public split from Chris Brown in 2009, firstly cutting off the locks, to colouring her hair in its pixie style to blonde and then bright red in May 2010. Since then, she’s had a number of extensions from corkscrews, loose curls to iron-straight.

Who does she get to take care of her locks? None other than celebrity stylist Ursula Stephen.

The 23-year-old is paying out a whopping $3,200 a day, according to the Mail on Sunday.

A source told the newspaper: “Rihanna likes to pioneer new styles but it’s costing her a fortune. She makes several public appearances a week, and the cost soon stacks up. Ursula is a close confidante and they are together all the time.”

Not going to lie, if I paid out THAT much each day, I’d expect my roots to be kept in check at all times!
